18TH OCTOBER MEETING CANCELLED

Unfortunately it is great regret that we must cancel this Sunday’s meeting. Following the announcement of Lancashire being moved up to Tier 3 we consulted with the Local Council and the Police as to whether we could run the event. Sadly the Police could not give us a clear yes to running, with travelling to the event being non essential and drivers crossing from tiers 1 & 2 in to a tier 3 area being their main concern. The club has a responsibility to ensure the safety of all those attending and simply could not afford to run the risk of receiving a £10,000 fine had the meeting gone ahead. Whilst we understand this is extremely frustrating it is totally out of our hands and not something we could of done anything differently to avoid. Sadly this will also mean that our planned final meeting on the 1st November will also be cancelled as restrictions will not be lifted within two weeks. We will look to run the remaining two rounds in late January and early February.

Spectators that have purchased advance tickets have the following option for their tickets.
1. Refund the cost of the tickets purchased (PLEASE PROVIDE ID NUMBER).
2. Carry the tickets over to our next meeting in January.
3. Donate to the club to show your support through these tough times.

Please send an email to info@wartonscc.co.uk or message us on here to confirm which you wish to do. If we have not heard from you by 5pm Sunday 18th we will automatically refund the ticket.

Drivers that booked in and paid to race have the following options.
1. Refund the cost of the tickets purchased and remove from bookings.
2. Booking and payment carried over to our next meeting in January.
3. Donate to the club to show your support through these tough times.

Please reply to your booking in email (info@wartonscc.co.uk) or message us on here to confirm which you wish to do. If we have not heard from you by 5pm Sunday 18th we will automatically refund the ticket.

The club would like to thank you all for your patience and understanding during this difficult and very extraordinary times. We cannot thank each and every one of you enough for your support over the last 3 meetings and are absolutely devastated it has come to such an abrupt end through no fault of our own! We hope you continue to support the club in 2021 and that we finally get some sort of normality back with the racing.
