A big thank you to the marshals, medics, spectators, drivers and mechanics who attended today’s Metal Mania meeting. Thank you also to our sponsor for the day, MP Haulage.
A busy day for our medical and crash team, despite a few situations all drivers were able to jump out of their cars under their own steam. A big thank you to you all and we hope the drivers involved in the incidents aren’t too sore tomorrow morning and back on track soon.
We’d also like to say a HUGE thank you to Daniel Horton of DH Race Pics. Daniel has spent many hours contacting drivers for the booking list, trying to get as many as possible on track. It’s safe to say the drivers repaid him with some fantastic action all day. Every race had a big moment, big hits and close racing. We look forward to working with you for next years Metal Mania.
On track the Unlimiteds produced some big follow ins throughout and one of the best Unlimited DDs we’ve had at Warton for years. Well done to 111 Charlie Whitfield, taking the Metal Mania final. The 1600s were a little down on numbers compared to previous years but produced just as much action as they always do, including a fantastic Dash for Cash race, going down to the last corner. Stock Cars and Junior Rookies did more than just support the meeting, some fast close racing for the Stock Cars and the Junior Rookies at times seemed to be trying to outdo the Bangers!
Next time out we have the Ted Southward Memorial, a meeting that’s close to the hearts of many people here at Warton. Micro Bangers will be joined by Ladies Bangers, Junior Rookies, Ministox, Senior Minis and Mini F2s. It’s likely to be another hard hitting meeting and therefore a must watch.
Results have been included, but are provisional for now. If you have any enquiries please get in touch with us before Wednesday.
Well done to all our winners today!
